This blog post is a little different in that it has a link to an online interview I did. It may answer some questions you might have.
Also, I've included a short tale I wrote for the same magazine, based on an earlier blog post. I've adapted it into a short story for inclusion in this year's Tauranga Writers 'Byline' publication, in which I've been lucky enough to be included in 2022 and 2023.
However the most exciting thing for me this month has been the release of my audiobook through Blackstone Audio, based in the US. At last count it was available on eleven platforms: Storytel (Scandinavia), Bookbeat (Slovenia), Audiobooks.com (US), Audiobooks Now (US), Chirp Books (US), Kobo, Amazon.com, Xig Xag (UK), Yorkdale Shipping Centre (Canada), Apple Podcasts and IBS.it (Italy).
I downloaded it on xigxag.co.uk, because there is no joining fee and the prices are good. I also ordered the CD from Amazon, but at $70 I'm not expecting a lot of sales!
I've also been nominated for an Able Golden Book Award in the Best Fiction category - woot! The awards are held in Melbourne in October, and I had an interview last week. Unfortunately you find out on the night, so I might not do the trip from NZ. We'll see.
Now, here's the short tale:
That's probably enough for August, although I'm sure I'll come back to this because I can't help myself.
Ngā mihi nui
