Greetings everyone at last!
All I've done on my social media since being back across the ditch is post photos of my various 'offices'. My excuse, and I'm sticking to it, is that I've been busy as, to use the NZ vernacular. Busy with family, friends, and especially writing. But then when I say writing, it's more like writing activities—not novel writing. 'What writing activities?' I hear you ask.
In brief, they are:
* Updating this website (through Vermilion Pinstripes in Port Macquarie)
* Making an ad for the winter edition of Indie Books NZ
* Finalising my Audiobook through Voices of Today in WA. It should be live in the next week or so
*Working with cuzzy Jon from FlipCity Media on my cover
*Making a sales page on Etsy https://GoodAcreBooks.etsy.com as I realise not everyone wants to order through Amazon
* Employing a developmental editor through Reedsy
The last point means that I have to be finished ‘Of Greenstone and Violins’ by October for publication early next year. No pressure.
I've joined a Friday Writing Group up here at Caloundra which has been a Godsend, especially when I've not done any writing all week. I've also met interesting people, including prolific romance, rom-com, fantasy writer A.K.Mulford (www.akmulford.com) and Ian Ingram, who writes travel/surfing books and posts amazing 60s surfing photos in Etsy under the title Capital Surfers.
Oh, and I’ve been asked to be on a panel in NZ in October, with another 2 authors, and even getting paid for it! More about that next time.
That is why June has been a bit short on content, but all back to normal now. (I'll just write my newsletter before that first glass of Sauvignon Blanc )
