May was busy!

May began with Ages of Pages Bookfair in Hamilton, NZ, old stamping ground of Riff Raff (aka Richard O'Brien). This year it was much bigger, with over 140 authors represented, including moi. I used my new banner for the first time and I must say it looks pretty good. My sales weren't brilliant, but I met up with old and new friends, which is always positive.
Shortly on the heels of the book fair was my trip to Colville on the Coromandel Peninsula for the week-long writers' retreat which I also did last year. In between various excursions around the area I also managed to do some more on my Leather Lane novel. It's always a really productive week and I look forward to doing it again next year.
This blog is mainly photos, because a picture as you know paints a thousand words - well, quite a few anyway.
The other significant May event for me was the launch of 'The Spirit Remains' at the Greerton library. It was a fun event, for me anyway, and I sold a lot more books than I did at the book fair. I had a captive audience of course 😂
If you're in Tauranga you can now find my books at The Book Club and Red Square Books, which is an awesome development. Go local writers!
So now it's back to life and family in Australia, for the next 4 months anyway. There will still be a few excursions coming up, but that's for another blog.
Arohanui until June (oops it's already the 2nd) xo
