In the last 2 days we have visited Cambridge, and friends in Bury St Edmunds and Henley-on-Thames. None of these places feature in Finding Miriama, but if it weren’t for cousin Dan, pictured with Neil at the Bull on Bell pub in Henley below, the book probably wouldn’t have been written. We met online when researching the Greenwood family tree 12 years ago, and have kept in touch since then, even though we live on opposite sides of the world. Dan is related to me through Colin in the story. He has helped with providing information about him, which of course I embellished somewhat. Colin will feature in the sequel for sure, along with his half-brother Hohepa. The reason I have to thank Dan is that he didn’t let me forget that I needed to write this book, which after a pretty slow start, was finished 5 years later. So thanks Dan and Veronique for your support
(I threw in the photo of Dusty Springfield’s grave because she’s buried all alone there at Henley where she lived, and the local florist regularly puts flowers on it. It seems sad, but obviously where she wanted to be)
